Our Story

One Week One Well was founded with a simple but powerful goal: to ensure that every person has access to clean water. After witnessing the life-changing impact clean water can have in rural communities in Tanzania, we knew we had to do something to help. By building wells, we’re not just providing water — we’re giving communities the chance to thrive.

Why Water Matters

Every day, millions of people, especially women and children, spend hours walking long distances to collect water, often from unsafe sources. This daily burden affects education, health, and income opportunities. Access to clean water changes everything — it improves health, keeps kids in school, empowers women, and strengthens entire communities.

What We Do

At One Week One Well, we run week-long fundraising campaigns that not only raise money but also raise awareness about the global water crisis. We partner with businesses, schools, and organizations to engage their employees and communities in the cause. Each campaign has a clear goal: raise enough money to build a well that will provide sustainable, life-changing water access for a community in rural Tanzania.
